Today, I would like to introduce an exceptional entrepreneur in Africa, he is a real proof of African Excellence and Selflessness. He is into aviation industry but before we learn from him, let understand why Mr Allen Onyema is celebrated.

While Aviation is one of the key elements of a country’s future prosperity, most of African airlines fail due to these reasons:

  1. Cost of operations: fuel price instability (30% to 70% expensive than Europe), insurances (four times than Europe), spare parts scarcity
  2. Harsh operating environment: goverment policies, customs bureaucracy, heavy taxes (50-55% tax on air tickets, the operation management,international aeropolitics…

  3. Bad image of African Ownership                                     

Mr Allen Ifechukwu Onyema is a Nigerian lawyer Entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Air Peace, the largest airline in Nigeria and West Africa with 30 aircrafts and 3.000 employees. The airline has won several awards for its excellent services.

In 2019, Mr Allen Onyema was named The Aviation Man of the Year by Aviation Safety (Nigeria’s aviation industry magazine), West African Business Leader of the Year at the All Africa Business Leader Awards.

He is credited with helping to revive Nigeria’s aviation industry and the creation of thousands jobs in the country.
