Nelly Chatue-Diop is a Cameroonian computer scientist specializing in data and blockchain. She is the CEO and co-founder of Ejara, an investment software. This is Africa’s first noncustodial wallet and blockchain-based mobile investment platform for Francophone Africa and the Diaspora.
Nelly has a degree in computer science and MBA from HEC Paris and London Business School. For over 15 years, she built expertise in emerging technologies, traditional finance, and Web 3.0 in several executive and directorial roles across Europe and USA. She worked for the French group Casino, Darty Group, and Betclic Group.
In 2020, she launched Ejara.io, a Cameroonian blockchain-based mobile investment platform.This fintech company offers fractional shares, cryptocurrency, and other affordable investment opportunities through decentralized services.
The two-year-old fintech startup has raised $10 million since its founding. A $2 million seed investment in October 2021 and recently $8 million in Series A funding.
The fintech is planning to become a one-stop platform where a suite of financial products will be accessible at users’ fingertips, without the need for any crypto knowledge.
